GPT Castings

The Company started operations with a 6,500 TPA induction furnace at Barjora, about 190 km from Kolkata. The plant is currently manufacturing SG cast iron shoulders for Indian Railways. The Company has recently commissioned 2 numbers of 9 MVa Submerged Arc furnaces for the manufacture of Ferro Alloys.

The Company achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification. It is also approved by the Research Design and Standards Organization (RDSO), Government of India, Ministry of Railways.

GPT Castings is a modern 10,000 MTPA SG Iron foundry.

Located in village Chausal, PO Gangajalghati, Dist Bankura, West Bengal.

Products

Castings

Railway track fittings essential for the infrastructure industry and also DI pipe fittings for the water and sewerage industry. Also manufactures heavy haul castings for DFCC (32 ton axle load).
  • This division is engaged in the production of SG iron castings which are instrumental to the downstream manufacture of pre-stressed concrete sleepers.
  • The Company is one of the few manufacturers of track fittings for Freight Corridor projects in India.
  • The Company’s long-term plans revolve around the production of high quality castings and penetrating deeper into the sectors of its presence and increase the business of its railway sleepers both in India and South Asia.
  • This division also exports to Iran, Iraq, Bangladesh and Myanmar.
